Viewing attendee webcams

Your webcam as well as attendee webcams will appear within the Zoom interface. At the upper right corner of the interface, you can toggle between Speaker View and Gallery View. You can also enter full screen mode (Alt + F).

If you select Speaker View, the screen will enlarge whichever participant is speaking. Gallery view puts all the webcams into a matrix or grid (think Brady Bunch).

If you select View Options from the top dropdown menu, you will have the option to put the webcams in Side by Side mode, which will arrange the webcams vertically along the right of the Zoom interface, as opposed to horizontally along the top. If you are the presenter, the View Options dropdown menu will also allow you to annotate your screen, as well as stop other participants from sharing their screens.

Virtual Backgrounds

Zoom allows you to customize the background in your webcam video. You can leave the milieu of our office or workspace and incorporate a backdrop consisting of a beach, mountains, a castle, a fjord, a much nicer office, or any other image. To change your background, click on the Video popup chevron and select Choose Virtual Background.

From the settings page, you can select from previous used background pictures or videos, or upload a new one. A good practice is to avoid videos and animations, as they can be distracting during meetings.
